HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Water Committee 1972-03-06RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Water Cotmnittee Meeting March 6,1972 Committee:Chairman Dannels;Trustees Steele and Prosser Attending:Chairman Dannels;Trustees Steele and Presser Also Attending:Town Administrator Hill,Superintendent McCracken,Business Office Manager Duncan,Town Engineer Van Horn RURAL WATER APPLICATION: John E.Tucker:Reconsideration by the Committee, after their decision of February 6th,1972,recommends advising appli cant that he is tapping a private water line and that the Town assumes no responsibility until such time as Hall &Associates deed the two inch water line to the Town of Estes Park. The Committee instructed Superintendent McCracken to follow through on his right-of-way request to Hall and Associates. BIRCH STREET WATER LINE: Town Engineer William Van Horn reported on future water requirements for approximately sixty lots in the Country Club Manor area to be served by the proposed Birch Street extension at a cost of approximately $30,000.00.The Committee recommends tabling the project. TOM JOHNSTON WATER LINE: Superintendent McCracken reported on the cost for his crew and both Town welders to thaw a private water line on a Sunday.The Committee recommends billing Mr.Johnston on an actual cost basis. DECANTING PONDS FOR BLACK CANYON AND GLACIER CREEK PLANTS: Town Administrator Hill advised the Committee that State Health requires a decanting pond for each water treatment plant.It will be necessary to lease or purchase property from the MacGregor Ranch and the YMCA.
