RURAL WATER APPLICATIONS:
Dwayne P.Herman:One rural residence locatedon Eagle
Cliff between Valhalla and Machin’s
Cabins.The Committee recommends
approval subject to being connected
to four inch line and located under
the 7,850 foot blue line.
Peter I.Van Ausdall:One rural commercial building located
on Lot 5,Block 3,Larimer Terminals.
The Committee recommends approval.
Lee Parker:One rural commercial building located
on Lot 9,Larimer Terminals.The
Committee recommends approval.
Eastwood &Gavell:One rural residence located on Lot 4,
Block 3,Larimer Terminals.The
Committee recommends approval.
David S.Binns:Two rural residences located on Devils
Gulch road near the Gem Lake Trail-
head.The Committee recommends approval
subject to installation of four inch
line extension and location under the
7,850 foot blue line.
HIGII PINES SUBDIVISION:
To date,Mr.Joel Bacon has not provided the Town with a deed to the
four inch water extension serving High Pines Subdivision.However,Mr.
Bacon has advised that he will proceed with obtaining the necessary
signatures from land owners in the subdivision.
HIGH DRIVE WATER RESUME:
The Committee acknowledges receipt of the resum,dated April 21,1972,
from Mr.Andy Anderson to be used for future consideration of the High
Drive water system.
WATER CONSTRUCTION STATUS REPORT:
Town Administrator Hill presented a construction status report from Phillips,
Carter,Resiter and Associates,Inc.The attachment is made a part of these
minutes.

WATER SYSTEM MAPPING:
The Committee recommends utilizing the services of the Town Engineer to
continue updating the present water system map as changes occur.
TOM JOHNSTON WATER LINE:
Mr.Tom Johnston appeared before the Committee as spokesman for a party
of six water users,all of whom are connected to a private water line
that is grossly inadequate.Mr.Johnston requested assistance from the
Town in correcting the supply problem which requires the installation of
approximately one thousand feet of four inch water line.The Committee
recommends that the present policy of the Town not be changed and that
a new line be installed by the property owners.The Committee also
recommends that each property owner involved be notified by letter as
to the Town’s water extension policy.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.

We ask you in the interest of cooperation with the Town of Estes Park to
exert some effort to place the slack Canyon Plant in oprt1on.Only minor
1ters are required to do so prior to your yet unstated c!ate for final inspection

point since the water production from flack Canyon has not been critical to

The contract coip1etioa date for Schedule A,qiacier Creek Tretnent Plant is
Juno 10,1972 and of course tha facility iiIU not be usable to th Town on that
date.Again the Contract Oocuiicnts provide for liquidated dnages for lato corn
pletf on and in this case there are both Intanqible and tnqib1e danagcs the
Town may in part be compensated by the Contract amount of $1O0.O per day that
the Contract is late.

For the Period May 5 thru June 1 ,1972
BLACK CANYON TREATMENT PLANT (SCHEDULE B)
The project has been completed with the exception of completing the site
grading and backfill and the completion of very minor items within the build
ing.With the completion of these minor items the plant could be put into
operation and the “shake down”at least started.
No effort is being made on the part of the contractor to complete the small
amount of work remaining to deliver a usable facility to the Town.
GLACIER CREEK TREATMENT PLANT (SCHEDULE A)
Considerable progress has been made by the Contractor during this period,
however it is a case of a lot-too late.
The concrete work,masonry,pre-cast roof and yard piping are complete.Por
tions of the equipment are installed and some electrical work is “roughed—in”.
The work remaining consists mainly of tying units together,piping and structure
finishes.
FORECAST
BLACK CANYON PLANT -Could be placed into operation with the cooperation of
the Contractor.
GLACIER CREEK PLANT -Will requite at least the entire month of June to reach
a point use could be made of the plant and at least another month to complete
the plant finish and site work./
