MINIMUM MAIN SIZE:
Mrs.Helen Muncil appeared before the Committee to request consideration allowing
her to install a water main smaller than the required 4”minimum.The Committee
felt it did not have sufficient information to make a proper determination.
Superintendent McCracken will investigate the proposed main installation and
report back to the Committee.
RURAL WATER APPLICATIONS:
Behien &Whitt South of Beaver Point -Conunittee recommends
approval.
Herbert Gaimnill Lot 9,Olympus Heights -Committee recommends
approval of one year extension.
FALL RIVER STORAGE RESERVOIR:
Water Superintendent reported the Fall River Storage Reservoir needs to be
repainted on the outside.A price of $638.00 plus paint (Town to furnish paint)
was approved by the Committee.Superintendent McCracken is to proceed with the
work.
WATER ANALYSIS:
The attached State Health Department water analysis was reviewed by the Committee.
NEW CONSTRUCTION:
Superintendent McCracken reported the Cap Construction Co.projects on Highway No.7
and the Y Junction are now complete except for some minor details.The job appears
to be quite adequate.
VANDALISM -BlACK CANYON:
The Larimer County Sheriff’s Department is proceeding with action on the vandalism
at the Black Canyon Water Plant.
WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS:
The Committee recommends to the Board of Trustees that the Water Department
proceed with the balance of the system improvement as outlined in the Committee
minutes of May 7,1973 (attached)plus small jobs in Country Club Manor and
Stanley Avenue.
The Town’s consulting engineer and the Water Superintendent shall determine which
projects will be bid and which ones will be constructed by the Water Department.

CAP CONSTRUCTION CO:
Cap Construction Co.,estimate No.3 in the amount of $9,007.34 is recommended for
payment.A 5%retainage is held by the Town of Estes Park.
CBT WATER ORDERS:
The Committee discussed the method of placing water orders on CBT water.The
Committee recommends the Water Commissioner for this district be allowed to
place the Town of Estes Park orders as needed.
MUNICIPAL SUBDISTRICT:
The Committee discussed at length the decision as to how many acre feet of
water the Town of Estes Park should obligate itself for.This decision must
be made in time to meet the Municipal Subdistrict deadline of August 1,1974.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
