RURAL WATER APPLICATIONS:
J.Randall Charles One rural residence located on Devil’s
Gulch Road.The Committee recommends
approval,provided that a 4”extension
be made to connect to a Town 4”main,
and that agreements can be reached with
Mr.Woods which will enable him to have
winter water and will then allow the Town
to discontinue the old summer line.
Upper Thompson Sanitation District One rural commercial usuage to provide
water for a plant and lift station to be
located on U.S.Bureau of Reclamation land
and one rural commercial usage for a lift
station to be located on Fish Creek.The
Committee recommends approval with authori
zation granted to the staff to work out the
details.
Will TTAKER WATER EXTENS ION AGREEMENT:
Business Office Manager Duncan presented a proposed water extension agreement
between Dale C.Whittaker and E.Lorene Whittaker and the Town of Estes Park
for Lots 10,11 and 13,Block 8,and Lots 21 and 23,Block 7.The maximum
refund could amount to $1,106.00.The Committee recommends authorization to
sign the contract.
ERICKSON WATER EXTENSION AGREEMENT:
Business Office Manager Duncan presented a proposed water extension agreement
between Carroll D.Erickson and Leila Francis Thompson and the Town of Estes
Park for Lots 3,4 and 5 in Division 7,and Lots 7,8 and 9 in Division 8,
High Drive Heights.The maximum refund could amount of $2,454.72.The Committee
recommends authorization to sign the contract.
lANDFILL AREA WATER LINE:
Superintendent McCracken requested permission to replace 1500 feet of water line
in the landfill area.The Committee recommends tabling for additional information.
ADDITIONAL WATER DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEES
Superintendent McCracken requested permission to hire two seasonal employees.
The Committee recommends approval.

REPORT ON AWWA SCHOOL IN DENVER:
Superintendent McCracken reported that he and Lee Goracke attended an AWWA
School in Denver.School attendance and testing will lead to upgrading
water plant operator certification in December 1974,at which time the local
water plants will be inspected and class rated.
REPORT ON CONSTRUCTION:
Superintendent McCracken reported that Cap Construction has installed the “Y”
Junction water main project.The line has been sterilized and will be pressure
tested on April 3,1974,by the Town Consulting Engineers.Cap Construction
should require about ten days to install approximately 1000 feet of water line
on Highway 7 to complete that project.Eight fire plugs will be installed on
the new water line.
MUNICIPAL SUBDISTRICT REPORT:
Town Administrator Hill presented a proposal cost schedule based upon various
water requirements as may be authorized by the Water Committee.Town Adminis
trator Hill also reported that an allotment must be signed by the Town by
August 1,1974.The Committee recommends tabling for additional information.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
