McGREGOR AND HIGH STREET WATER LINES:
Superintendent McCracken presented cost estimates on both water lines
constructed by the Water Department at less than the Engineer’s estimate.
KINNEY SUBDIVISION REPORT:
Superintendent McCracken reported on the water fixture unit projection for
Mill Pond Center.The commercial projection is 400 units and residential
projection is 480 units according to the plat submitted.The Committee
recommends approval of the water distribution plan submitted.
RURAL WATER A1:PLICATIONS:
Daniel A.Neifert One Year extension on Lot 4,Cummorah
Subdivision for one rural residence.
LEWISTON CONDOMINIUM REPORT:
Superintendent McCracken presented a preliminary plat for discussion and water
fixture unit projection for Citadel Condominiums,but no official action was taken
since additional information is required from the architect.
VEHICLE REQUEST:
Superintendent McCracken requested permission to call for bids on a ½ton
pickup with trade.The Committee authorized Superintendent McCracken to
prepare specifications and call for bids on a ½ton pickup.
BUREAU OF RECLAMATION WATER CONTRACT:
Town Administrator Hill advised the Committee of a request by the State Engineer
to release CBT water to the Big Thompson River.The Committee authorized the
State Engineer to release 75 acre feet of water to the River.
UPPER THOMPSON SANITATION DISTRICT REQUEST FOR A1IENDMENT TO EXTENSION POLICY:
Fred Carpenter,Manager of the Upper Thompson Sanitation District requested an
amendment to the Town extension policy to permit PCV pipe to be installed in
place of steel for the proposed extension to prevent a construction delay and
requested that a fireplug be installed by the Town.Mr.Carpenter also requested
that the Town pay the cost of the oversize bore under highway 34 in the event
that the Colorado Highway Department refuses a highway cut for the proposed
water line.

The Committee suggested that Mr.Carpenter return at a later date with
additional pipe price information for 8 inch steel pipe,installation costs
and delivery dates and that consulting engineers from both the Town and Upper
Thompson Sanitation District meet to determine the material required to with
stand the pressures for the proposed supply area.Mr.Carpenter was advised
that a fireplug is already planned at a location of less than 400 feet from
the sewer plant site.
WATER LINE AT DUMP:
Superintendent McCracken requested authorization to install a 6 inch line
at the Dump in place of a 4 inch line,due to delivery delays on 4 inch pipe.
The Committee recommends approval subject to investigating all possible sources
of 1800 feet of 4 inch pipe.
CLIFFORD HICKS FIREPLUG:
The thirty year—old fireplug located on Lot 11,High Pines Subdivision,was
removed when the Glacier Creek line was installed and not replaced.Mr.Hicks
has requested replacement by the Town.The Committee recommends furnishing a
new fireplug with installation costs to be paid by High Pines property owners
who may be served by the fireplug.
