Water Committee Meeting
December 9,1976

RURAL WATER APPLICATIONS:
Stanley Franklin Requests a one year extension on his water
service application for lot 1,division 6,
High Drive Heights.The Committee recom
mends approval and also that the water ex
tension to his property be deeded to the
Town prior to tapping.
Sam McCreery Requests water service to his residence on
Devil’s Gulch Road which is not within the
NCWCD boundary.The Committee recommends
approval upon annexation to the NCWCD.
Dr.George Mastio His request for water was tabled on July
2,1975 until the Black Canyon waterline
construction would be completed.The Com
mittee recommends the application be approved
now that the Town is capable of serving his
residence and that it be subject to all water
service procedures and regulations.
PAUL SHELL -UNAUTHORIZED CONNECTION:
In researching Paul Shell’s unauthorized tap which was discovered when
he came in to purchase a meter,it was found that the water bill for
the cabin was voided at the time the original owner divided it from
his property and sold it in 1959.Paul Shell bought the cabin in 1972
and has not paid any water rent on it to date.The Committee discussed
alternativesof requiring him to pay the back water rent or to pay the
connection fees and recommends the staff be authorized to meet with him
when he is in Town and decide on an alternative.
FAWN VALLEY CONDOMINIUMS -WATER SERVICE REQUEST:
A verbal request was received for water service to three buildings of
the Fawn Valley Condominium complex.The Committee directed the staff
to inform them of the requirements and that the Town will pursue the
request,if desired,through the Town Attorney and Town Consulting Water
Engineer at the expense of the requesters.
STANLEY PARK:
The groundskeeper at Stanley Park has requested the waterline be win
terized to serve his trailer as well as two barns.The cost would be
approximately $150.The Committee recommends approval.
REPORTS:
A.GRAVES AND ASPEN AVENUES WATER SYSTEMS -The completed deeds
for the water systems for Aspen and Graves Avenues have been
received and will be recorded as soon as copies of all paid
bills involving the construction are received.

B.MORAINE AVENUE WATERLINE -The construction of the 8”main
along Moraine Avenue from East Riverside Drive to Davis Street
is completed and operational.
C.MACGREGOR RANCH WATERLINE -This year’s project of replacing
the MacGregor Ranch waterline is completed.Approximately
1500’remains in the total project.
D.PENSTOCK TAP -This cooperative project between the Recreation
District,School District,and Town has been completed.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
