RURAL WATER APPLICATIONS:
George F.Nytes One rural connect to serve a com
mercial garage on Lot 3,Larimer
Terminals.The Committee recom
mends approval.
Blue Arrow Campground One rural connect to serve a
laundry and shower house.The
Committee recommends denial by
reason of section 13.24.060 of
the Municipal Code which states,
“Water service to a portion of
developed property shall not be
permitted.”
BUREAU OF RECLAMATION PENSTOCK:
Engineering costs of designing the 24”freeze proof tap from the
U.S.B.R.penstock were obtained from DMJM-Phillips.Reister and quoted
as being at a cost plus basis not to exceed $4824.Dividing the costs
equally among the Town,School District,and Recreation District would
result in the Town’s share being $1608.Discussion followed regarding
construction cost estimates of the tap and possible apportionment of
these costs.The Committee directed the staff to contact the School
District and Recreation District to discuss these items and to report
back at the next meeting.
RECREATION DISTRICT -REQUEST FOR WINDY GAP WATER:
A letter dated February 25,1976 was received from the Rocky Mountain
Metropolitan Recreation District requesting use of Windy Gap water.
The Committee will consider this request at a future appropriate time.
SIX CITY WATER COMMITTEE MEETING (2/23/76)REPORT:
In regards to a Six City Water Committee meeting held February 23,1976,
it was reported that the Platte River Power Authority resolution passed
allowing PRPA one vote representation on the Project Committee of the
Windy Gap Project.Also,engineering manuals of the Windy Gap Project
are available for distribution and should be reviewed prior to the
March 22nd Windy Gap Project meeting involving Town Board members.
WATER USE REPORTS -JANUARY &FEBRUARY 1976:
Water use reports for January and February revealed a decline in water
use from last year of approximately 2*acre feet.Reduction in bleeding
this year due to a mild winter was suggested as a possible reason for
the decline.The Committee directed the staff to prepare a news release
regarding the changing water use.

TRAILERS:LEO BAKER PROPERTY AND EASTWOOD &GAVELL PROPERTY
Superintendent McCracken reported that he was informed by Mr.Baker
that the trailer was not hooked up to the water system and that it
would be removed soon.Superintendent McCracken also reported that
Eastwood &Gavell had advised him of their intent to file a water
application.
AWWA NATIONAL CONFERENCE -JUNE 20th THROUGH JUNE 25th:
A national conference of the American Water Works Association to be
held June 20th through 25th was announced.
REPORTS:
Water System Improvements —The capital improvements program report
of project costs and priorities will be submitted at the next meeting.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
