RURAL WATER APPLICATIONS:
None
SIX CITY WATER COMMITTEE REPORT:
The Committee reviewed the minutes of the December 22,1975 meeting
of the Six City Water Committee and it was noted in the cost estimate
for the Windy Gap project that the estimated total cost would be about
$30,000,000.This Windy Gap project could be capable of producing
75,000 acre feet of water.
BUREAU OF RECLAMATION PENSTOCK TAP:
A meeting was held with the Recreation District,Park School District
and Bob Kemp,Town consulting water engineer,at which cooperative
participation was planned to install 2400 feet of 12”pipe from the
penstock to a location near the Big Thompson Water Plant.From that
location to the golf course and schools,the cost will be proportion
ately divided between the Recreation District and Park School District.
Bob Kemp is preparing cost estimates for both the project and engineering.
COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH -WATER PLANT CLASSIFICATION:
The Estes water treatment plants have been classified as “B”by the
Colorado Department of Health.This means that the operators in res
ponsible charge of each facility must hold a license equal to or higher
than this classification.Superintendent McCracken will handle operator
certification.
WATER USE REPORT -DECEMBER 1975:
The Committee reviewed the water use record for December and recommends
that the report be attached and made a part of these minutes.
REPORTS:
Superintendent McCracken presented a resume of 1975 construction.
WATER RATES:
The Committee continued its discussion on the proposed water rate
increase for 1976.The staff was instructed to refine its figures
and present them again at the next meeting of the Committee.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
