BIDS FOR WATERLINE -MORAINE AVENUE FROM E.RIVERSIDE TO DAVIS STREET: The following bids were received for the construction of an 8”water main in Moraine Avenue from East Riverside Drive to Davis Street: Bath Inc.$32,029 Bechtold Construction Company 29,900 CAP Construction Company 49,813.32 Emerson S.Ellett,Inc.33,490 Palmer Construction 41,916 The Committee recommends accepting Bechtold Construction Company’s bid upon investigation and favorable recommendation by Water Consulting Engineer Walt Coiwell. EAST RIVERSIDE DRIVE -ROAD REPAIRS: Sections of East Riverside Drive have settled due to the Town’s water line ditch settling.The County requested the Town repair these areas. The Committee recommends encouraging the County to resurface the road and to use what Town funds would be spent for patching in the repaving. RECREATION DISTRICT’S REQUEST FOR PENSTOCK TAP EASEMENTS: Bob Diers and Paul Van Horn appeared on behalf of the Recreation District requesting to use the Town’s easement through the Pederson property from the Big Thompson water treatment plant to Concord Lane.The ease ment consists of a 16’right—of—way for one waterline and a 14’road right—of—way.The Town Attorney advised that since a waterline is al ready located in the 16’right—of—way,that the Recreation District waterline would have to be located in the 14’right-of-way.The Commit tee recommends the Recreation District attorney prepare an agreement to allow the Recreation District waterline to be located in the 14’road easement. The Recreation District also requested to use the Town’s easement from the U.S.B.R.Penstock to the Big Thompson water treatment plant.The Committee recommends approval subject to final location to be determined by the Town’s staff. Do BRADFORD PUBL.ISHING CO.,DENVER R E C 0 R D 0 F P R 0 C E E D I N G S Water Committee September 9,1976 Page Two (2) LIENEMANN AGREEMENT FOR PUMPING CHARGES TO FALL RIVER ESTATES: The Committee recommends amending Resolution #27—76 (adopted by the Board of Trustees on June 21,1976)in accordance with Walt Coiwell’s letter dated July 16,1976 which recommended including a termination of agreement clause and escalation clause. ORDINANCE AND RESOLUTION AMENDING TAP CHARGES AND WATER RIGHTS FEES: An ordinance and resolution amending current tap charges and water rights fees were submitted to the Committee which recommends their approval. WATER MAIN MINIMUM SIZE POLICY: The Committee discussed changing the Town’s current policy of a 4” main size minimum to a 6”main size minimum.The proposed 2”increase in size would allow an increase in capacity of 2.8 times and reduce the per unit cost.The Committee recommends approval. LIENEMANN WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM -FALL RIVER ESTATES: The Committee recommends accepting the Fall River Estates water dis tribution system.
