HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Water Committee 1976-07-0800 00 BRADFORD PUBIJSHING CO.,DENVER R E C 0 R D 0 F P R 0 C E E D I N G S Water Committee /July 8,1976 Committee:Chairman $utter,Trustees Dannels and Houston Attending:Chairman Sutter,Trustees Dannels and Houston Also Attending:Town Administrator Hill,Superintendent McCracken, Finance Officer Duncan and Administrative Intern Merkel Absent:None BISSELL -REQUEST FOR WATER EXTENSION -DEVIL’S GULCH ROAD: Jim Bissell appeared requesting the waterline be extended to serve his neighborhood on Devil’s Gulch Road.The Committee advised Mr.Bissell that the waterline presently serving a portion of the Devil’s Gulch Road area would not be capable of handling an increased load.Also, an engineering study,financed by those who would be served,would be needed to determine the necessary water system improvements and design. The Committee directed the staff to obtain an estimate of the cost of the engineering study and Mr.Bissell volunteered to obtain the number of potential users in his neighborhood. LIENEMANN -PUMPING STATION ANNUAL RATE AGREEMENT: Mr.D.A.Lienemann appeared stating his objection to the Fall River Estates pumping agreement because it did not contain a termination date for the annual maintenance fees.Mr.Lienemann submitted a packet of information containing an analysis of a proposed schedule incorpo rating a termination date.The Committee referred this material to the Town’s consulting water engineer for his recommendation. ORDINANCE REGARDING WATER METER INSTALLATIONS: The Committee reviewed and recommends a proposed ordinance which will update the Municipal Code to coincide with all metered use. SERVICE FEES: Updated cost figures reveal an increased cost of approximately $50 over our current plant development and water rights fees for a single family residence.Exact figures for a proposed increase in these fees will be presented at the next meeting. Because of the added administration and processing involved in the billing of metered use,the Committee recommends using a data pro cessing system and directed the staff to obtain further information regarding data processing.
