FROZEN WATERLINE -HIGH PINES SUBDIVISION:
Property owners in the High Pines Subdivision upgraded their road which
was damaged from the flood storm. In doing so,they partially exposed
the existing waterline causing it to freeze.Thawing the waterline
will cost approximately $600.A letter was received from Town Attorney
Phipps stating that it is the responsibility of the High Pines property
owners to repair the damage and to correct the situation.Although
the responsibility is established, there are problems with enforcing
the repair and lowering of the waterline.Approximately 700 feet of
waterline has to be lowered at a possible cost of $10/ft.The Committee
recommends determining which property owners are responsible and con
sulting with the Town Attorney prior to further action.
