RURAL WATER APPLICATIONS:
Fawn Valley Chalets,Requests water service for thirty—three condo—
Inc.minium units.Serving Fawn Valley Chalets
would require either tapping the extremely low
pressured transmission line across from the
Chalets or connecting onto Lienemann’s system.
Extending water service to Fawn Valley will
probably increase the demand for city water in
this area.The Committee recommends studying
this request further.
Ruth McCreery Requests water service to her residence on
Devils Gulch Road.The Committee recommends
approval subject to her installing a 6”line
to her property.
J.W.Knudsen Requests water service to his residence near
Valhalla Cottages.His building is located
over a 1”waterline which he has agreed to re
locate and provide an easement to the Town.
The Committee recommends approval of his con
necting onto the 4”waterline subject to the
relocation of the 1”waterline as stated.
WATERLINE DEEDS -LAKE VIEW TRACTS -GRAVES AVENUE:
Robert Young installed a waterline across Highway 34 to his new motel
on Lot 2,Lake View Tracts and submitted a deed to the line and copies
of the paid bills. The Committee recommends accepting ownership of
the waterline.
Rock Ridge Development Company submitted a deed to the 6”waterline it
installed from Highway 7 to the apartment complex on Lot 32,DeVille
Subdivision.At the time of installment,only a 4”wateline was re
quired and, therefore, the Town would assume the costs of oversizing.
The Committee recommends accepting ownership of the waterline and
paying the $764.45 for the oversizing.
RESIDENTIAL METERING:
As of this date,747 residential water customers have been metered
leaving 761 yet to be metered. There are also 54 metered customers
without readouts. The Committee recommends mailing letters to unmetered
customers and those requiring readouts explaining the deadlines and in
serting a postcard which could bereturned to the Town if the customer
wants the Town to install the meter.Should the response be great
enough, the Committee recommends consulting local plumbers and arranging
for one or two to install meters as requests are received. If local
plumbers cannot provide the service needed, the Water Department will
provide the service within the Department.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
