The Committee recommends approval subject to (1)Mr.Pederson in stalling and maintaining the 3/4”pumping system, and (2)entering into a special agreement which would include a statement that the Town would not be held responsible for any interruption of flow due to plant malfunction. EAST RIVERSIDE WATER SERVICE LINE REPAIRS: Several waterline leaks have been evident along East Riverside Drive. Superintendent McCracken reported that one leak hadbeenfound in Mrs. Spencer’s service line and that more are expected in Dr.Session’s and the Mark Twain Manor service lines. The Committee recommends in forming the water customers involved of the necessary repairs and then proceeding with the repairs and billing the customers according to the Municipal Code. RESOLUTION REGARDING RATE ADJUSTMENTS: Resolution #13—77 passed April 26th stated that small adjustments in water customers’bills would be made because of differences in time periodsbetween flat rate and meter rate and because of different actual meter reading dates.Adjusting the water bills for differences in actual meter reading dates proved unfeasible and, therefore, the Committee recommends repealing that portion of Resolution #13-77 and passing the Resolution incorporating a 1/12 credit adjustment for the change in rate periods. 1978 BUDGET: The Committee reviewed the proposed 1978 budget and recommends it to the Board of Trustees. REPORTS: JONES DITCH -A letter from Assistant Town Attorney John Chilson was received which stated the costs of pursuing the Jones Ditch matter would be approximately $5,000 plus engineering costs.A further detailed estimate of the engineering costs is being ob tained.
