HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Water Committee 1978-02-134 BRADPORD PUBLISHING CO.,DENVER R E C 0 R D 0 F P R 0 C E E D I N G S Water Committee /February 13,1978 Committee:Chairman Sutter,Trustees Dannels and Houston Attending:Chairman Sutter,Trustee Dannels Also Attending:Mayor Tregent,Town Administrator Hill,Water Superintendent McCracken,Finance Officer Duncan, and Accountant Daniels Absent:Trustee Houston RURAL WATER APPLICATION: CARL F.VOGEL -requested service for six buildings containing four units each located on Fish Creek Road.Harry Romer,representing Mr. Vogel,stated that the sellers and purchasers of the property have agreed to obtain the necessary rights—of—way and to install the re quired 6”main from the source located near the Estes Park Golf & Country Club clubhouse.The Committee recommends approval subject to all units to be served being located within the boundaries of the NCWCD and the property owners entering into a water extension agreement with the Town. PICKUP TRUCK: The following bids were received for a i-ton 4WD pickup: $5,030 with trade-in Estes Park Garage $5,980 without trade—in $5,180 with trade—in Estes Park Ford $5,780 without trade—in The Committee recommends accepting Estes Park FordTs bid of $5,780 for the pickup without a trade—in and authorizing Water Superintendent McCracken to sell the International pickup. TUCKER,LOT 11,LITTLE PROSPECT MOUNTAIN ADD.-6”WATER MAIN VARIANCE: John Tucker requested that a 2”waterline be allowed to serve two lots (hA and 11B,Little Prospect Mountain Addition)from the 2”waterline located in Stanley Circle Drive.Because of the topography and existing waterline distribution,it appears these are the only two lots that would be served from the requested 2”main.The Committee recommends approval subject to receiving an easement for the 2”waterline. REPORTS: JANUARY 1978 WATER USE showed a6%decrease from December 1977 and a 33%decrease from January 1977.Superintendent McCracken attributed some of the decrease to elimination of several bleeders.
