HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Water Committee 1978-01-12BRADFORD PUBLISHING CO.,DENVER Water Committee ,‘January 12,1978 RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Committee: Attending: Chairman Sutter,Trustees Houston and Dannels Chairman Sutter,Trustee Houston Also Attending:Town Administrator Hill,Water Superintendent McCracken, Finance Officer Duncan,Accountant Daniels Absent:Trustee Dannels VAN HORN -WATER TAP TRANSFERS: A letter dated January 9,1978 was received from Paul Van Horn requesting to transfer two prepaid water taps from Lots 2 and 5,One Thousand Pines, to a parcel in Olympus Heights and to 232 Big Horn Drive.The Committee recommends the transfers be approved. PICKUP TRUCK BIDS: The Committee authorized Water Superintendent McCracken to proceed with obtaining bids for a new pickup truck. YMCA -“LOWER COOKOUT”AREA WATER USE: A request was received from the YMCA to continue past procedure of not charging for water use from the “lower cookout”area water tap.This tap was granted by the Town when it received an easement through the YMCA and there has been no charge for water use from it previously. The Committee recommends charging only for any expanded use of the water tap. 1978 MUNICIPAL SUBDISTRICT ASSESSMENT: The Committee recommends paying the 197$assessment of Estes Park for the Windy Gap Project in the amount of $62,000 (40 units @ $1,550.00 per unit). WATER METER CHECK: The Committee recommends checking water meters as time permits to obtain water use information and to detect faulty meters. REPORTS: THE FALL RIVER TREATNT PLANT METER has been ordered and should arrive in February. 1977 WATER USE showed an overall decrease of 7.93%from 1976. Water use during the months of June through December when meters were installed showed a 16.68%decrease from the same months in ‘76.
