RURAL WATER APPLICATIONS:
GERALD E.PALMER —requested water service for a commercial shop located
on Lot 5,Block 4,Larimer Terminals.The Committee recommends approval.
ROBERT &SHIRLEY YOUNG -requested water service for a single family
residence to be located on Lot 1,Block 2,Fall River Estates.The
Committee recommends approval.
DUMP TRUCK REQUEST:
Superintendent McCracken reported that the Michigan loader has recently
been sold and requested a dump truck be purchased.The Committee directed
the Superintendent to obtain cost estimates of the type dump truck he is
requesting.
TESTING OF THE BIG THOMPSON TREATMENT PLANT METER:
The Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District requested the Town test
the accuracy of the 10”meter to the Big Thompson Treatment Plant as
stipulated in the Temporary Operating Agreement.Previously,the Bureau
of Reclamation has been responsible for the testing of the meter but the
agreement is not clear as to where the responsibility lies.The Com
mittee recommends proceeding with the meter test.
1980 MUNICIPAL SUBDISTRICT ASSESSMENT:
The Committee recommends paying the 1980 assessment of Estes Park for
the Windy Gap Project in the amount of $62,500 (40 units @ $1,562.50
per unit).
BULK WATER DISPENSER:
The Estes Park Sanitation District has agreed to allow the bulk water
dispenser to remain at the old water shop location until spring.The
Committee discussed whether to retain this service or possibly sell
the dispenser to a private interest.The dispenser presently operates
at a loss and the majority of the customers reside outside town limits.
The Committee decided to table the matter for further discussion.
REPORTS:
WATER USE FOR NOVEMBER 1979 showed a 6.9%decrease from November 1978
and a 36.5%decrease from October 1979.
The plans redesigning the treatment system of the Fall River Plant to
treat giardia are almost completed.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
