SCHOOL WATERLINE &BILL ADJUSTMENT REQUESTS:
Requests were received from Park School District for the Town to assume
ownership of the waterline serving all three schools, and to consider
some type of adjustment of the school’s excess water use during January
due to the fire plug opening prank. The Committee felt that these
requests needed further study and, therefore, tabled the matters.
FALL RIVER TREATMENT PLANT IMPROVEMENTS:
The Committee reviewed proposed improvements to the Fall River Treatment
Plant (which are attached to these minutes)as submitted by DMJM—Phillips.
Reister.Haley,Inc.These improvements have received approval from the
State and County Health Departments and the Committee recommends pro
ceeding immediately with their implementation.
REPORTS:
Water Superintendent McCracken reported that the test drilling along
Big Horn Drive revealed an area of rock approximately 50’—100’in
length.Specifications for the Big Horn Drive waterline are ready and
the Town will begin advertising for bids as soon as possible.
January 1980 water use showed a 2%increase over December 1979 but a
40%decrease from January 1979.Superintendent McCracken explained
that these water use figures indicate a possible meter malfunction in
the Black Canyon Water Treatment plant.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
