BULK WATER DISPENSER:
The Committee discussed the bulk water dispenser service with Lou
Moore and decided to continue the service.The Committee recommends
relocating the dispenser to the Parks Department building in Tallant
Park and charging 25ç per 50 gallons.
RURAL WATER APPLICATION:
D.A.LIENEMANN —requested water service for an additional eight
condominium units located on Lot 35,Block 1,Fall River Estates.The
Committee recommends approval.
DUMP TRUCK PURCHASE:
Superintendent McCracken reported he has contacted three truck agencies
and estimates thecost of a 2—ton dump truck to be about $16,500.The
Committee recommends that letters of price commitments be obtained
from all three dealers and that the Committee be authorized to make
the award.
BIG HORN DRIVE WATERLINE:
The Committee discussed rebidding the construction of 440’of waterline
along Big Horn Drive.Superintendent McCracken explained that last
year’s specifications are still valid and suggested the Water Depart
ment test the area for rock.The Committee directed the Water Super
intendent to check with the Town’s consulting water engineer regarding
test drilling and recommends bids be obtained for the water main
installation excluding street patching.
REPORTS:
DECEMBER 1979 WATER USE showed a 29%decrease from November 1979 and
a 37%decrease from December 1978.
The Bureau of Reclamation has agreed to test the Big Thompson Water
Plant meter.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
