HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Water Committee 1981-06-18BRADFORD PUBL.ISHING CO.,DENVER R E C 0 R D 0 F P R 0 C E E D I N G S Water Committee /June 18,1981 Committee:Chairman Wagner,Trustees Dannels and Meusel Attending:Chairman Wagner,Trustee Dannels Also attending:Mayor Tregent,Town Administrator Hill,Water Superin tendent McCracken,Finance Officer Duncan,and Recreation District representative Bob Diers Absent:-Trustee Meusel RURAL WATER APPLICATION -ED PETERSON -$10 MORAINE AVENUE: Mr.Ed Peterson,$10 Moraine Avenue,requested water service for 69 fixture values.Mr.Peterson also asked for permission to connect to the 1”water service line now serving the Willow Rest Motel at this same general location.Mr.Peterson owns the Willow Rest Motel as well as the property associated with the application. The Committee recommends the request for water service be approved and that Mr.Peterson be permitted to connect to the 1”water service line to the Willow Rest Motel.The Committee also recommends that should Mr.Peterson desire additional water service,that he be required to follow all Municipal Code requirements and that any division of the property will require separate water service lines. BIG THOMPSON WATER PLANT DRAIN LINE: The Committee reviewed proposals from R.A.Reither Construction,Inc. for the above mentioned line.The cost to install the drain line is as follows: 1.Across the golf course in plastic (1,275 ft.) Pipe $2,741.25 ($2.15 per foot) Labor 12,750.00 (six foot ditch) Total $15,491.25 2.Around the golf course in plastic pipe Pipe $6,837.00 (3,180 ft.) Labor 45,160.00 Total $51,997.00 After a long discussion,the Committee decided to meet with Mr.Reither and Recreation District officials to work out problems that may arise from this project. REPORTS: Water use report from Water Superintendent McCracken indicates the system used 31,037,480 gallons during May.This is up 16%from a month ago and down 8.87%from May of last year. Work on the water plant discharge permits with the State of Colorado were reported on. The estimated annual assessments for Windy Gap were reported and are attached to these proceedings. There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
