BIG THOMPSON PLANT DRAIN LINE ACROSS GOLF COURSE:
Boyd Williams and Bob Diers of the Recreation District requested that
the Committee consider rerouting the Big Thompson Plant drain line
around the north side of the golf course. They expressed concern that
the drainline construction would disturb the sprinkler system. It is
estimated that the longer route would cost an additional $58,000.The
Committee directed the staff to obtain estimates for both routes.
WATERLINE RIGHT-OF-WAY:
Town Attorney White advises the Town must obtain legal rights-of-way
for the replacement of the 8”waterline through University Heights.
Superintendent McCracken will present revised costs of the necessary
rerouting of this waterline at the next Water Committee meeting.
DISCONTINUANCE OF WATER SERVICE TO TRITCH ON DEVILS GULCH ROAD:
A letter dated April 24,1981 was received from George Tritch requesting
to discontinue water service to 1650 Devils Gulch Road in accordance
with Section 13.32.040 of the Municipal Code regarding discontinuance,
termination and abandonment of service. The Committee recommends this
request be approved.

Ms.Lucia Liley submitted a request that the public road easement which
was dedicated to the Town of Estes Park by John and Dagmar Pedersen in
1963 across the Pedersen property located west of Village Acres be
vacated. The Committee determined that the road and waterline ease
ments across the Pedersen property are necessary and, therefore, recom
mends denial of the vacate request.
WATER TAP EXTENSIONS TO LOTS ALONG NORTH RIDGE LANE:
Water taps were stubbed out to ten lots along North Ridge Lane in Lone
Pine Acres prior to paving the road at a cost of $2,225.31.The
Committee recommends that $300 be added to the tap fee of each of the
lots affected.
1/2 TON 4WD TRUCK BIDS:
Six bids were received for a 1/2 ton 4WD pickup truck. The Committee
recommends the lowest bid meeting the bid specifications,Rosen Novak’s
bid of $8,319.29,be accepted.
REPORTS:
200 acre feet of water have been rented from the City of Boulder at
$5 per acre foot.
1981 NCWCD quota has been set at 80%which means the Town’s 450 shares
of Big Thompson water will produce 360 acre feet of water this year.
A 75—85 million dollar bond issue, which includes the capitalization of
interest, for the Windy Gap project will go to sale in June. This bond
issue should result in a reduced assessment for the cities for the next
2—3 years.
