HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Water Committee 1981-03-12Q C BRADFORD PUBIJSHING CO.,DENVER R E C 0 R D 0 F P R 0 C E F D I N G S Water Committee u March 12,1981 Committee:Chairman Wagner,Trustees Dannels and Meusel Attending:All Also Attending:Mayor Tregent,Town Adniinistrator Hill,Water Super intendent McCracken,Finance Officer Duncan,Accountant Daniels 1981 WATERLINE IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS: The Committee reviewed the following Water Department projects proposed for 1981: Project Estimate Cost Replacing approximately 800’of waterline starting at 22 350Chief’s Landscaping and proceeding west along Spur 66 ‘P Replacing approximately 1,500’of the Big Thompson Plant $32,000 drain line with 6”pipe Replacing about 2,400’of waterline beginning on Lexington Lake,proceeding through University Heights to $62,200 Aspen Lane with 8”waterline Replacing 400’waterline along Vista Lane $9,300 Replacing 350’of waterline along Park Lane between $8 550VirginiaDriveandMacGregorAvenue ___________ $134,400 It is proposed that the Lexington Lane/Aspen Lane and Park Lane projects be bid and the other projects be done by the Water Department.The Committee recommends approval. WATER PLANT AND WATERLINE EQUIPMENT: The Committee recommends the following equipment and supplies be purchased: Big Thompson Treatment Plant -Polymer Machine $4,500 New coal (filtermedia)1,800 Black Canyon Waterline north of the Stanley Hotel —2 500 valves and installation Black Canyon Treatment Plant -8”meter which will 2 000 measure forward and reverse flow ________ $8,800 VEHICLE PURCHASE: The Committee authorized Water Superintendent McCracken to obtain bids for a 4WD pickup with a trade-in of the 1975 Ford pickup. REPORTS: February 1981 water use showed an 11.88%decrease from January 1981 and a 15.84%increase from February 1980. There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
