SERVICE TO DOHRN PROPERTY ANNEXATION:
Bill Van Horn submitted a request on behalf of the owners for town
water service to approximately 160 acres west of Koral Heights and
Majestic Pines Subdivision which will be proposed for annexation soon.
He discussed the proposed water system which will include a pumping
system and elevated storage because the majority of the property is
above the 7850’elevation.There are several details yet to be final
ized but the engineering of the system will be submitted to the Town’s
consulting water engineer for his review and approval.The Committee
stated that the Town would be interested in serving this area.
CASWELL FIREPLUG REQUEST:
A request was received from Les Caswell for the Town to install a fire
plug near his residence in Fall River Addition.The approximate cost
would be $2,000.The Committee agreed to consider this request during
1982 budget sessions.
PRESSURE TEST CHARGES:
The Committee reviewed the current pressure test charge of $200 per
test and recommends that a rate of $25/hour be charged instead.
FALL RIVER ESTATES WATER MAIN TEST:
The Committee recommends that the new 6”private waterline serving
the condominiums near Fall River Court in Fall River Estates be tested
for pressure.
1982 BUDGET:
The Committee reviewed the first draft of the 1982 Water Department
budget.
REPORTS:
A tour of the Windy Gap Project is scheduled for September 16,1981.
Park School District and the Community Church have entered into an
agreement regarding serving the new church building on Brodie Avenue
and the Town will be receiving a deed for the school’s waterline soon.
Right-of-way agreements for the Big Prospect waterline (through
University Heights)are currently being prepared by the Town Attorney
and the project will be bid upon their completion.
The Town has received requests from three different governmental depart
ments to test the Town’s water system for giardia.
Water use in July 1981 showed a 6%increase from June 1981 and a 23%
