RANGE VIEW WATER SERVICE: Several alternatives for serving water to Range View Subdivision were pro posed by DMJM-Phillips.Reister.Haley,Inc.Range View property owners prefer alternative #3A which involves connecting to the Town’s 8”waterline at the intersection of Marys Lake Road and High Drive, extending a 6”waterline along High Drive and continuing north up Heinz Parkway and connecting to the Range View Subdivision water system. The Committee recommends this alternative with the following provisions: 1)An agreement be drawn 2)A meter be installed at the end of the 6”Town waterline 3)That each residence/customer be required to pay a tap fee 4)That an equitable rural water rate charge be established 5)The entire system be private and the responsibility of Range View Subdivision property owners STREAM CLASSIFICATIONS OF BLACK CANYON AND GLACIER CREEKS: Notification was received from the Larimer-Weld Regional Council of Governments that Black Canyon Creek and Glacier Creek below Estes Park’s water treatment plants have been classified “Recreation Class 2,Aquatic Life -Class 1 Cold,Water Supply and Agriculture”.This classification is less stringent than “High Quality Class 1 -Existing Water Quality (no degradation)”which was proposed by the Water Quality Control Division staff. WATERLINE REPLACEMENT THROUGH UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS: A shorter more convenient route has been designed for the new 8”waterline through University Heights. The new route proceeds north from Lexington Lane through Elk Hollow 2nd Filing and University Drive, then west between Lots 26 27 of University Heights and along Lot 8,Block 1,Hyde Park Addition to Aspen Avenue. The Committee recommends proceeding with obtaining the necessary rights-of-way and then obtaining bids for the waterline installa tion.
