WATER LOSS STUDY BY DMJM:
Preliminary research indicates that the unaccountable water loss may
be due primarily to water plant metering problems.
REQUEST BY GLADE SMITH FOR ADJUSTMENT ON WATER BILL DUE TO BLEEDING:
Glade Smith submitted a letter dated March 1,1982 requesting relief
on his water bill for 1520 Upper Broadview. His service line froze
this winter and he had to bleed his line to prevent it from refreezing.
The Town’s present policy on bleeding is that only those customers
requested by the Town to bleed their service lines in order to prevent
Town water mains from freezing will be permitted an adjustment on their
water bill. The Committee recommends remaining with this policy and
denying Mr.Smith’s request.
REPORTS:
Water use during February 1982 showed a decrease of 28.9%from January
1982 and a 35%decrease from February 1981.
