HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Water Committee 1982-11-10a DRAOFORD PUBI.ISHING CO.,DENVER R E C 0 R D 0 F P R 0 C E E D I N G S Water Committee November 10,1932 Committee:Chairman Wagner,Trustees Dannels and Hix Attending:Trustees Dannels and Hix Also Attending:Mayor Tregent,Town Administrator Hill, Water Superintendent McCracken,Finance Officer Duncan Absent:Chairman Wagner RIES -WATER MAIN EXTENSION: Mr.Chris Ries,lot 14,Fort Morgan Colony,appeared before the Water Committee to request a variance to the Municipal Code in that he would like to install a service line to his property rather than install the Code required 6 inch main.The Water Committee recommends this request be denied and that Mr.and Mrs.Ries extend the 6 inch water main as per Code requirements. RANGE VIEW WATER EXTENSION AGREEMENT: The Range View Water Extension Agreement was reviewed by the Committee, Mr.Walter Brown,and Mr.Norman O’Neill.The Committee recommends the Board of Trustees approve this agreement. ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE: Town Administrator Dale Hill presented the Ordinance amending Chapter 13 of the Municipal Code regarding water extension agreements,deeds to water lines,etc.Administrator Hill stated that all “A”priority items are completed and have therefore been deleted from the Code, and the amended ordinance would also encompass Town regulations. The Committee recommends the adoption of this Ordinance. RURAL WATER APPLICATION: Town Administrator Hill read a letter from Mr.George Tritch,Jr. dated September 15,1982,regarding reactivating his water tap at 1650 Devil’s Gulch Road.On May 27,1981,Mr.Tritch requested a discontinuance of his service at this address.Section 13.32.040 of the Municipal Code states that a water tap can be reactivated within two years after suspension of service.Mr.Tritch also requested a different location for this tap.The Committee recommends the provisions of the Code be enforced and that if Mr. Tritch desires a transfer of location of the tap,he should make the application directly to the Board of Trustees with specific locations. BRIZZOLARA WATER MAIN EXTENSION: Ms.Connie Backstrum,representing Doreen Brizzolara,appeared before the Water Committee to request a variance to the Municipal Code in that Ms.Brizzolara would like to install a service line to her property (lot 33,Olympus-Bellevue Heights)rather than the Code required 6 inch main.The Water Committee recommends this request be denied and Ms.Brizzolara extend the 6 inch main as per Code requirements. REPORTS: September 1982 water use showed a -37.54%decrease from September Q 0 BRADFORD PUBIJSHING CO.,DENVER R E C 0 R D 0 F P R 0 C E E D I N G S Water Committee —November 10,1982 -Page 2 1981 and a -22.55%decrease from August 1982.The total percent of water accounted for as of September 13,1982,is 75.03%. October 1982 water use showed a -21.24%decrease from October 1981 and a -27.50%decrease from September 1982.The total percent of water accounted for as of October 13,1982,is 76.32%. Town Administrator Hill reported on the letters received regarding the sale of Windy Gap Water. There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
