HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Water Committee 1982-07-080 0 BRADFORD PUBL.ISHING CO.,DENVER R E C 0 R D 0 F P R 0 C E E D I N G S Water Committee July 8,1982 Committee:Chairman Wagner,Trustees Dannels and Hix Attending:All Also Attending:Mayor Tregent,Trustees Graves,Houston,Wood,Town Administrator Hill,Water Superintendent McCracken, Finance Officer Duncan WATER NEEDS STUDY PRESENTATION -W.W.WHEELER &ASSOCIATES: Mr.George Fosha of W.W.Wheeler &Associates presented the water needs study report as per the agreement.W.W.Wheeler feels that if the Town prevails in the Supreme Court augmentation case that there will be adequate water to supply the Town’s needs.If the Town does not prevail in Court,he recommends we retain 400 acre feet of Windy Gap Water. RURAL WATER APPLICATION: WATSON -Mr.and Mrs.Watson requested water service for their property located on Fish Creek Road.The area is presently serviced by a 2”water line which is owned and maintained by the Fish Creek Water Association.The Committee recommends Town water service be permitted,provided permission is obtained from the Fish Creek Water Association to connect to its system. REPORTS: The City of Boulder rented 120 acre feet of water to the Town, which concluded our agreement with Boulder.This will give the Town approximately 890 acre feet of water for the year. May 1982 water use showed a 26.40%increase from April 1982 and a 39.74%decrease from May 1981.The Unaccountable Water Loss for the month ending May 13th was approximately 4%. June 1982 water use showed a 35.59%increase from May 1982 and a 42.23%decrease from June 1981.The Unaccountable Water Loss for the month ending June 13th was approximately 15%. Superintendent McCracken reported on the progress of the 1982 con struction projects There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
