HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Water Committee 1982-05-13Q BRADFORD PUBL.ISHING CO.,DENVER R E C 0 R D 0 F P R 0 C E E D I N G S Water Committee y May 13,1982 Committee:Chairman Wagner,Trustees Dannels and Hix Attending:All Also Attending:Town Administrator Hill,Water Superintendent McCracken,Finance Officer Duncan RANGE VIEW ESTATES WATER MAIN LOCATION CHANGE Mr.Walter Brown,appearing on behalf of the R.V.Water &Roads,Inc., requested a new water main route to connect to the existing system near the Town’s shop by the dump and construct a 6”main along the road north of the Range View Subdivision until it reaches the tie- in point in the Range View Subdivision.The Committee recommends approval and that the Agreement be amended to incorporate the change, and a new extension agreement be drawn up. RURAL WATER APPLICATION VELTHOEN -Mr.and Mrs.Albert Veithoen requested water service for their residence located at 896 Fish Creek Road.The area is presently serviced by a 2”water line which is owned and maintained by the Fish Creek Water Association.The Committee recommends Town water service be permitted,provided permission is obtained from the Fish Creek Water Association to connect to its system. REQUEST BY ELLEY REGARDING WATERLINE EXTENSION ON COMANCHE STREET John Elley appeared requesting the Town participate financially in his waterline extension on Comanche Street.The Committee agreed to pay for the costs of the valve attached to the city main,but not for the additional costs involved in the installation of the valve. The Committee also recommends that Mr.Elley submit a deed to the water line prior to the Town paying for the valve and that if it is not submitted within 60 days of the approval of these minutes,that Mr.Elley’s water service be discontinued. REPORTS The Town received a letter from the Colorado Department of Health informing us that a new annual permit fee for water treatment plants has been adopted.The fee will be $165.00 per treatment plant per year. April 1982 water use showed a 31.58%increase from March 1982 and a 44.70%decrease from April 1981.The Unaccountable Water loss for the month ending April 13th was approximately 14%. The City of Boulder has tentatively agreed to rent 150 acre feet to the Town beginning the end of June. There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
