HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Water Committee 1983-10-05BRADPORD PUBLISHING CO.,DENVER R E C 0 R D 0 F P R 0 C E E D I N G $ / Water Committee October 5,1983 Committee:Chairman Wagner,Trustees Dannels and Hix Attending:All Also Attending:Mayor Tregent,Town Administrator Hill, Water Superintendent McCracken EAGLE CLIFF ROAD Superintendent McCracken reported the following bids were received for supplying fill material (2000 yards)for the Eagle Cliff road: Eastwood and Gavell $9,460.00——$6.73 per cubic yard George Nytes $8,400.00——$4.20 per cubic yard 1000 yards of 3/6”and 1000 yards of 2” The purpose of filling this road is to insulate the water main located in this road. The committee recommends the low bid from George Nytes in the amount of $4.20 per cubic yard——total of $8,400.be accepted. Superintendent McCracken reported the Public Works Department has agreed to haul and place the material in the Eagle Cliff road. GLACIER LODGE REQUEST: Glacier Lodge,Mr.James Ranglos,has requested the Town of Estes Park pay him $‘914,.O0 in damages caused by faulty tapping material. 9 9-0 After a lengthy discussion,the committee decided the Town was not at fault in this matter and recommends the request for payment be denied. BLUE SPRUCE COTTAGES—S.C.FERDINANDTSEN Mr.Ferdinandtsen has submitted a request to transfer a water tap to Mr.Manville.The committee recommends this request be granted and that Superintendent McCracken supervise the credits and charges associated with this transfer. REPORTS: Superintendent McCracken reported the water use for September resulted in 8l%accountable water.
