HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Water Committee 1984-10-11C BRADFORD PUBLISHING .RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Water Committee October ii,1984 Committee:Chairman Hix,Trustees Aldrich,Wood Attending:Chairman Hix,Trustees Aldrich,Wood Also Attending:Town Administrator Hill,Water Superintendent Richards,Finance Officer Vavra,Public Works Director Widmer,Clerk O’Connor ‘MASTER PLAN/URBAN GROWTH STUDY -INTERVIEWS: The four firms being interviewed to update the Water Master Plan were as follows: 1.Black and Veatch Consulting Engineers -$59,900. 2.DMJM Phillips Reister Haley,Inc.—$52,000. 3.Rocky Mountain Consultants,Inc.-$51,350. 4.McLaughlin Water Engineers -$16,000. Following the interviews,the Committee discussed each firm’s qualifications and rated the McLaughlin Water Engineering the highest.The Committee recommends Water Superintendent Richards and Public Works Director Widmer construct a proposed agreement with the McLaughlin firm and return to the Committee. BIG THOMPSON PLANT -INTAKE LINE: The Bid Opening held October 1,1984 for the Big Thompson Diver sion Pipeline Replacement consisted of the following bidders: 1.Twin Peaks Construction -$178,483.50 2.Wycon Construction —$126,108.00 3.Diamond Construction —$126,108.00 4.B.T.Construction —$111,870.00 The Committee recommends the Contract in the amount of $111,870.00 be awarded to B.T.Construction. RURAL WATER APPLICATION: QUICK -Robert C.Quick,Jr.requested water service to his property located at Lot 36,Stanley Heights.The Committee recommends approval of the application. REPORTS: /The Water Use Report indicated the amount of water accounted for as 75.3%.Town—owned facilities were reflected in the meter readings thus accounting for a higher percentage of water use.
