OLD BUSINESS:
1.It was reported to the Committee that the Model 500 Sprague Inter
ference Locator is on order but there is no definite delivery date.
2.Bids for the truck to replace Truck No.20 are expected to be re
ceived during the forthcoming week.
3.The new street light fixtures have not been ordered pending quotations.
They will be placed on order as soon as possible.
4.It was reported to the committee that eight (8)payments have been
received from potential customers desiring electrical service from
the area below Glen Haven.Actual construction will not begin until
13 payments have been received.
5.The Committee Budget Report for the month of May was presented to the
committee and was found to be in order and approved.
NEW BUSINESS:
1.A request of change in Light and Power rules and regulations together
with a letter to the Public Utilities Commission was read to the
committee.
The purpose of the change is to provide the Electric Department with
authorization to change the residence rate to Commercial in the event
of violation of the residence rate,where the customer is conducting
business on the residential rate.At the present time,the Department
has no authority and the new regulation provides a basis for deter
mination in such cases.
This will require Board approval and an amendment to the Town
ordinance.
2.Mr.Sweetland requested permission from the committee to purchase 2
sectionalizing switches for the South LEne.Cost of the switches
$375.00 each.The purposes of this equipment is to help facilitate
the work and shorten outages on the south line.The committee granted
approval.
There being no further business,the meeting was adjourned.
