OU BUSINESS:
1.It was reported to the Committee that the new transformers (three 333
KVA)have been installed and will be checked out with availability
of water.
2.The Committee made a survey and study of the existing street light
system and have authorized purchase of 10 fixtures at approximately a
cost of $50.00 each,and 5 new steel poles at approximately a cost of
$500.00 each.It was estimated that it will take about twelve new
steel poles to complete the South St.Vram Highway lighting.The
poles that are now being ordered will be installed in several areas
including the South St.Vram Highway.No date for completion has been
established.The work will be done as work time permits.
NEW BUSINESS:
1.Sweetland outlined the need for a new Air Compressor,assuring the
Committee that the old compressor is beyond efficient use and repair.
Committee authorized Sweetland to secure bids.One price quoted on
a Jaeger—Roto Air—Plus Model!l25!l50 cu.feet compressor was $4,900.00
FOB Columbus,Ohio,with an allowance of $700.00 for the old one.
2.Mr.R.C.Brodie,Chairman,presented to the Committee two letters
received from Harry Leibfried outlining certain damage to his property
which he claimed was the fault of the Light and Power Department.
The Committee agreed that the letters should be sent to Mr.Chas.F.
Hix,who is presently insuring the Town on liability and property
damage.
There being no further business,the meeting was adjourned.
