COMMITTEE:Brodie -Tregent -Hunter -Sweetfand -Bailey -Duncan
ATTENDING:‘I
1.A request was made by Harry Tregent requesting the amount of money
spent by the Town on Christmas Decorations.Committee also requested
that a letter be sent to the Chamber of Commerce providing this
information as soon after the first of the year as figures are
available
2.Sweetland brought to the attention of the Committee,the problems
involved in moving the Bay Station to Prospect Mountain.The work
will be done according to present plans and as soon as certain prob
lems have been attended to.
3.A letter from Westinghouse Electric was read to the Committee relating
to periodic inspection of the Sub-Station equipment,explaining test
equipment involved and proposed cost to the Town.Sweetland requested
that the work be done and the Committee approved.Copy of the Westing
house letter is attached to this report.
seq/&s4.A discussion was entered into regarding wage c-i-t.The Committee
recommended that a general study be made concerning all 1uipztiqh1--
employees.
5.A general discussion was entered into by the Committee regarding the
affect of daylight savings time on energy consumption.Comparative
figures indicate an overall increase.

Since visiting your substation and discussing a maintenance inspection
with you,we would like to offer the following proposal,
We will furnish a qualified service engineer and the necessary instruments
and test equipment to perform the following:
1.Clean,check calibration,test and adjust if necessary:
J2_-CO-s Phase relays
4 -cO-8 Ground relays
y 4 -CB-8F Polyphase watthour meters
4 -RC Recloser relays
12 -Lincoln demand ammeters
4 -Indicating kilovar meters
1 -Indicating wattmeter
2.Inspect,clean,hi pot and test operation of:
5 -DH Breakers
1 —DFS Switch
3.inspect,clean,hi-pot main bus in switchgear.
4.In addition to above,we will assist your people in connecting the
recording voltmeter in cubicle 5B.
It is understood that a temporary 15 K’?cable will be installed by your
people to permit deenergizing bus B for cleaning and testing.
It is also understood that at least one of your maintenance men will be
available at all times to assist the Service Engineer in the inspection
and cleaning of this equipment.
The service provided by Westinghouse will not include any new parts needed.
If replacement parts are required,they will be billed to you separately.

Our per diem rate for this service is $131.00 per day.
If no delays are encountered in making the equipment available,we estimate
the above work can be completed in five working days.
