LIGHT AND POWER COMMITTEE

OLD BUSINESS:
1.Sweetland reported that a new top for Truck No.18 has not yet been
purchased.
2.Sweetland reported to the Committee that repair to the roof at the Power
Plant has been completed.
3.Sweetland gave a report on the meeting which he and Mr.Dekker attended
in Longmont on underground distribution.
4.Mr.Sweetland gave the following report on the Bureau of Reclamation
meeting held in Denver:The meeting in Denver at the Bureau of Reclama
tion office with Mr.Pat Dugan,Director of Region 7,and the Platte
River Municipal Power Association to discuss the 230 KV line from Archer
Substation near Cheyenne Wyoming to Denver was held on September 21,
1966.We were assured the Bureau would build the line from Archer to
Windsor.However,there are some further studies to be made.Also dis
cussed were the studies of the most feasible location for a plant if
Platte River group had to construct one.Even though we are waiting for
answers from the Bureau on their long-range power supply,it will be
necessary for them to give us sufficient notice of any change in their
thinking on being able to supply our needs through 1972.
NEW BUSINESS:
1.Mr.Bailey presented a letter received from Mr.George M.Sykes,represent
ing Technical Economics Associates,Inc.,asking for a special contract
for Light and Power.The rate requested is the same being used for Rib
and the Monogram Shop.The Committee was of the opinion that his request
meets all requirements and therefore the special rate can be applied.
2.The Committee recommended revision and reprinting of the Light &Power
booklet which is now obsolete.The cost is estimated to be $300.00.
3.Sweetland reported to the Committee that the bathroom floor in the large
residence at the plant will have to be repaired.The Committee gave
approval and asked that Sweetland provide the Committee with an estimate
of cost.
4.Committee gave approval to Sweetland for the purchase of one air tamper
at an estimated cost of $355.00.
5.Committee received a request from Mr.and Mrs.Tedman requesting one
additional street light just below the Town of Allenspark.Cost of the
installation is $175.00.It was recommended by the Committee that this
request be included on the list of street lights to be installed in the
future at such time as funds are available.
There being no further business,the meeting was adjourned.
