LIGHT AND POWER COMMITTEE

August 6,1968
SPECIAL MEETING
COMMITTEE:Tregent -Petrocine -Erickson -Sweetland -Bailey
Attending:Tregent -Petrocine -Erickson -Sweetland -Bailey
Also Attending:Mayor Brodie,Town Clerk Hill and Trustee Steele
OLD BUSINESS:
1.Committee Chairman Harry Tregent opened the meeting by introducing
Mr.C.H.Hoper,representing the engineering firm of C.H.Hoper
and Associates,Denver,Colorado.
Chairman Tregent then requested Mayor Brodie explain the Town’s
position regarding a rate study and the extent of coverage to be
expected.
Following a lengthy discussion,Committee Member N.T.Petrocine
proposed that the Board of Trustees approve the Committees request
to engage C.H.Hoper and Associates to conduct a rate study for
the Light and Power Department at an estimated cost of $5,000.00,
the work to begin as soon as possible.The Committee gave unan
imous approval.
NEW BUSINESS:
1.Bailey explained to the Committee all action taken to date re
garding a claim for $397.42 refund submitted by Mr.E.H.Gaylord
and the Kinnikinnik Motor Hotel through his attorney,Mr.Alden T.
Hill of Fort Collins,Colorado.
All corrrspondence was reviewed by the Committee and after some
discussion of Town policies,the Committee was unanimous in it’s
decision that Town Attorney Ernest Hartwell should make final
disposition of the claim.
2.Committee authorized Sweetland to purchase street lighting fixtures
to be used at the new parking lot in the amount of $3,506.85.
