Light and Power Committee Meeting
June 16,1969

OVERTIME POLICY:
The Light and Power Committee referred the discussion on overtime policy
in the Light and Power Department to the Town’s wage committee.
STREET LIGHTING:
Superintendent Sweetland reported the department has recently installed
street lights at the following locations:
1.One street light at each of the four corners within Village
Acres subdivision.
2.One street light at the intersection of Chiquita and Chapin
Lanes.
3.One street light at the northeast corner of Lot 113,Al
Fresco Place Addition.
4.One street light at the intersection of University Drive
and Morgan Street.
5.One street light at the intersection of Lott Street and Davis
Street.
6.One street light at the intersection of Lott Street and
Courtney Lane.
Superintendent Sweetland reported he will prepare a street lighting map
showing the present and proposed locations of street lights.This map
will be used by the Committee in planning future street light install
ations.The Committee indicated a desire to have the department install
street lights on a planned basis as finances permits.
POLE AGREEMENT:
Superintendent Sweetland reported he is reviewing the proposed pole
agreement between the Town and the Telephone Company.
HIWAY 7 POWER LINE:
Superintendent Sweetland reported he is working with the State Highway
Department,U.S.Forest Service and the Bureau of Public Roads on the
proposed moving of the power lines as required by the new highway con
struction.
WORK ON CUSTOMERS PREMISES:
The Committee discussed the policy regarding work performed on customer
premises.The Committee instructed the Town Administrator to check with
former Mayor Graves and Mayor Brodie as to possible verbal agreements
as to this subject.
VICTOR WALKER BILL:
Office Manager Duncan reported Mr.Walker has requested an annual bill
for his apartment instead of the usual monthly bill.The Committee in
structed Mr.Duncan to follow the rules and regulations now in effect.
