STATUS OF SUBSTATION:
Superintendent Dekker reported that the substation is 997w complete withthenewtransformerinserviceandthesystemoperating.The balancedueonthesubstationcontractis$5,541.00.The Committee reaffirmedpreviousapprovaloftheRichardsonpaintbidof$5,630.00 to paint thesubstation“hot”which will make a service interruption unnecessary.
NEW SUBSTATION PROPERTY:
Superintendent Dekker reported the necessity of acquiring property forlocationofanadditionalsubstationtobeputinserviceby1979accordingtopresentgrowthprojections.The Committee authorizedSuperintendentDekkertoproceedandreportbackatthenextmeeting.
HIDDEN VALLEY UNDERGROUND:
Merrick and Company,consulting engineers for the underground extension,advise paying all but $200.00 of the retainage.Superintendent Dekkerreportedonfallpreparationstocompletetheprojectwhichrequiresapproximately4,000 feet of additional undergrounding at Hidden Valley.
EQUIPMENT LOANING POLICY:
Superintendent Dekker advised of numerous requests to borrow the compressor,the bucket truck and other equipment.The Committee recommendsmaintainingthepresentpolicyofnotloaningLightandPowerDepartmentequipment.
AERIAL BUCKET TRUCK:
The 1972 Light and Power Department budget includes an aerial buckettruck.The Committee authorized Superintendent Dekker to submitspecificationsforpricestobebroughtbackforapproval.
MONROE COMPUTIM CALCULATOR #1725:
Town Engineer Van Horn presented a need for a machine of this type tobeusedforright-of-way calculations for both the Light and Power DepartmentandtheWaterDepartment.System mapping can be accomplishedmuchsoonerthroughtheuseofthistypeofmachine.The CommitteerecommendsthatEngineerVanHornsecurepriceinformationonthismachineandothermachineswithcomparablecapabilitiesandreportbackforapproval.
APPA MEMBERSHIP FEE:
Superintendent Oekker advised the Committee that 1972 membership will

APPA MEMBERSHIP FEE(continued):
be approximately $180.00.The Committee recommends continued APPA
membership participation.
BREEDER REACTOR CORPORATION AGREEMENT:
Superintendent Dekker presented an agreement to be signed and returned
to the Corporation.The Committee recommends that the Mayor and Town
Administrator be authorized to execute the agreement.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
