AERIAL BUCKET TRUCK:
Superintendent Dekker presented a quote from Winter-Weiss for a Powers
American 46’Sky Master and utility body for $30,458.00 requiring aseparatecabandchassisfor$6,238.37 for a F 752 Ford.Jacobs Equip
ment Company’s quote for a 48’Hi-Ranger Linesman II for $23,850.00
includes a F 752 Ford.The Coimnittee recommends purchasing from
Jacobs Equipment Company.Sixty day delivery is contemplated.Anestimatedvalueof$7,500.00 has been placed on the used 1962 unit
being sold by the Department.
WHOLESALE POWER RATE INCREASE:
Superintendent Dekker presented wholesale rate increase projections ofapproximatelyfivepercentperyearortwenty-five percent increase
during the next five years.Superintendent Dekker requests permission
for a rate study.The Committee authorized Superintendent Dekker andTownAdministratorHilltocontactLeonardCampbellforlegalcounsel
and R.W.Beck and Company for a rate study quote and report back totheCommittee.
SUBSTATION SITE ACQUISITION:
Superintendent Dekker reported on a cost of $6,000.00 for Bigler
property located in the Mary’s Lake area or a cost of approximately
$1,500.00 for a line extension to lease suitable property from the
Bureau of Reclamation.The Committee recommends pursuing the leasing
of suitable government property.
BASE STATION UNIT:
Superintendent Dekker advised that a new unit has been budgeted andrequestedpermissiontopurchase.The Committee tabled the request
until such time as additional maintenance and repair may be required.
ESCAPE PROPERTIES:
Superintendent Dekker reported on the beginning of an extension requiring110to112polesatacostofapproximately$30,000.00.
REITHER CONSTRUCTION BUILDING:
Reither Construction has offered their 16’x 20’construction buildingtotheDepartmentforamaterialsstoragebuildingfor$100.00.TheCommitteeauthorizespurchasingthebuilding.
NEW LINENEN:
Superintendent Dekker advised the Committee that two linemen have beenhiredaspreviouslyauthorized
