ATTORNEY CAMPBELL MEETING:
Superintendent Dekker reported on a meeting with Attorney Campbell on
December 28,1972,also attended by Town Administrator Hill,concern
ing the light and power extension policy,advise on rates three and
seven and advice on Big Elk territory.Attorney Campbell requested
additional information before advising.The Conunittee recommends
supplying information as requested.
NORTHERN DIVISION POWER ASSOCIATION ASSESSMENT:
Superintendent Dekker presented an assessment request in the amount of
$74.00 to be used to oppose the Rainbow Bridge lawsuit and the Power
Withdrawal lawsuit.Storage Project power now under contract might be
reduced by 407w to 457 if the lawsuits are successful.The Committee
recommends payment of the assessment.
PRMPA PROGRESS REPORT:
Superintendent Dekker advised that the next report will be given at a
dinner meeting to be held January 24,1973,at the Holiday Inn in
Estes Park,hosted by Estes Park Light and Power,for Four Cities
Mayors,Councilmen and news media to update on PENPA activities and
expecially the Yampa Project.
ADDRESS BY APPA GENERAL MANAGER:
Superintendent Dekker presented a copy of the address by Alex Radin,
General Manager,APPA,before Mid-West Electric Consumers Association,
Omaha,Nebraska,on December 13,1972,which pointed out the fact that
utilities will have to work together in the future to meet the rapidly
growing electric power demand.
RHEL UNDERGROUND MEETING:
Superintendent Dekker requested approval to send Foreman Dean to El Paso,
Texas,in February to attend RMEL Underground meeting at a cost of
approximately $180.00.The Committee recommends approval.
REQUEST TO PURCHASE PORTABLE TAPE RECORDER:
Superintendent Dekker presented a request to purchase a portable tape
recorder to be used to tape important conferences by all Town departments.
The Committee recommends approval.

REQUEST TO PURCHASE BATTERY CHARGER AND BATTERY:
Superintendent Dekker presented a request to purchase a nickel-cadmium
rechargeable battery for stand-by usage and an additional charger to be
used in the department for portable radios.The Committee recommends
approval.
APPA MAY CONFERENCE:
Superintendent Dekker advised that the May Conference will be held in
New Orleans on May 11 and 12 for Governing Boards and May 16-16 for the
annual conference.The Committee recommends attendance by Light and
Power Committee members and staff in place of RHEL Conferences.
