SHOP TOOLS: Superintendent Dekker presented a need for hand tools and a cabinet toreplacethetoolsleftatthePublicWorksshop.The approximate costis$600.00.The Committee recommends approval. BUCKET TRUCK HYDRAULIC TOOL: Superintendent Dekker requested authorization to purchase a combinationhydraulictorquewrenchanddrilltobeusedforlineworkwiththeaeriallifttruck.The approximate cost is $430.00.The Committee recommends approval. LINE TRUCK BOOM TIP HOSES: Superintendent Dekker advised that periodically the hoses must be replacedontheboomtruck,and should be replaced almost immediately.A factorymanufacturedassemblytelescopingunit,complete with hoses,costs approximately$800.00 while hoses only cost approximately $250.00.The Committee recommendsreplacingthehosesonlyontheboomtip. EMPLOYEE SHOTS: Superintendent Dekker advised that some employees requested flu shots and tickshots.The Committee recommends rejecting the request. AMERICAN PUBLIC POWER ASSOCIATION ANMJAL CONFERENCE: Superintendent Dekker advised that the annual conference will be held May 18-21attheSheratonBostonHotelandthatapre-conference meeting will be heldMay16and17foradministrativepersonnelandtrustees.Reservations will bemadefortrusteeswhowishtoattend. RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Light &Power Committee April 3,1975 Page Two (2) INFORMATION ITEMS: A.The city council’s joint meeting for PRPA will be held in Fort CollinsonApril23attheCSUStudentCenter. B.PRPA transmission line hearings are continuing in an effort to chooserouteswithaslittleadverseeffectforpropertyownersaspossible. C.House Bill 1666,which will quality PRPA as a tax exempt entity,ispresentlyinCommitteeandappearstobeheadedforpassage. P.Lighting Systems -necessary materials have been ordered and work ispresentlybeingcarriedoutto: 1.Place street light wires underground for the west half of Elkhorn Avenue. 2.Extend highway lighting westerly on Highway 34. 3.Place decorative lighting in Bond Park. E.Power load growth is staying close to Power Department projections. There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
