LIGHT &POWER SHOP BUILDING ADDITION:
Bids from D &S Steel Building Company and the David Neenan Company
(Burton Builders)were received for the Light &Power Shop Addition
which will serve as a storage area for materials.Although the
David Neenan Company bid was higher,it was more complete and could
guarantee the design and color to match the existing shop building
which the David Neenan Company originally constructed.Total cost
of this project with this bid,Town excavation and installment of
lights, etc.will be approximately $22,600 which is within the bud
geted amount of $23,000.The Committee recommends accepting the
David Neenan Company bid.
SENATE BILL 76:
Director of Light &Power Dekker reported that Senate Bill 76 had
passed the Senate by a substantial majority.Senate Bill 76 proposes
requiring a power authority to make annual impact payments to each
political subdivision of the state in which any of the property of
the authority is located. This bill could cost Estes Park $113,000
annually which would require an 8%increase for the individual cus
tomer. The Committee recommends the Town Board take a position on
this bill and communicate this position to the House of Representa
tives and Senate.

the Town and Miner &Miner with guidelines for the environ
