$15,000 has been budgeted for the Tallant Park Substation screening.The Committee recommends tabling the matter for further study.
ENERGY AND MAN’S ENVIRONMENT PROGRAM (EME):
The Committee again recommends supporting the EME program which promotesenergyenvironmentalunderstandingatallschoollevels.TheprogramhadpreviouslybeenrecommendedbytheCommitteeatitsOctober7,1975 meeting subject to a confirmation from school officialsthattheprogramwouldbeused.Support of the program has beenreceivedfromschoolofficialsandtheCommitteerecommendsproceedingwiththe$490 program and also presenting to the Town Board and SchoolBoardabriefprogramexplainingtheEMEprogramingreaterdetail.
A.P.P.A.ENGINEERING &OPERATIONS WORKSHOP:
The Committee recommends Director Dekker and Foreman Dean be authorizedtoattendtheAmericanPublicPowerAssociationEngineering&Operations Workshop to be held in Atlanta in mid-March.
REPORTS:
MARYS LAKE SUBSTATION -According to schedule,contracts for thetransformerandswitchgearhavebeenexecuted,and a preliminaryenvironmentalstatementisunderway.

RATE INCREASE —The recent rate increase will be in effect fortheFebruarytoMarchmeterreadoutsandreflectedintheApril1,1977 bills.
EMPLOYEES -The Light &Power Department will be hiring a newjourneymanlinemantoreplaceonewhowillbeleavingshortly.
NEW TRUCKS DELIVERY -Two new trucks are on order and will bedeliveredearlyMarch.
P.R.P.A.—BOND ISSUE —The$100,000,000 bond issue will hesoldonFebruary24th.$40,000,000 will be to refund Series Aissuesof1975and$60,000,000 for new capital.
