TALLANT PARK SUBSTATION SCREENING:
Roger Root,Draftsman/Surveyor,presented another alternative
screening design for the Tallant Park Substation which uses timbers
standing on end interspersed with six foot square planters.The
planters would be 8’in height and the timbers would vary in height
from 8’to 14’.The estimated cost of the screening is $15,350.
The Committee recommends obtaining bids for the screening and to in—
dude in the bid transplanting the existing shrubs on the north side
of the substation to the south side.
MARYS LAKE SUBSTATION:
The Bureau of Reclamation will be issuing a formal opinion on the
environmental report of the Marys Lake Substation within a week
or two.
The Committee recommends the Town negotiate a contract with R.A.
Reither Construction for the construction of the Marys Lake Sub
station.
REPORTS:
HYDROPLANT -Presently operation of the Fall River hydroplant
is producing a net savings of approximately $700 per month on
purchased power.This savings is expected to increase in future
years.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
