PASS ON PATE INCREASE:
Bill McEwan and Max Kiburz discussed the proposed rate increase which
will cover the increase in wholesale power rates.The new rate pro
poses a $.00169/KwH increase for all classes of service or an overall
average increase of 4.1%.The Committee recommends adoption of the
rate increase ordinance which will become effective the first billing
period beginning after January 9,1979 and be reflected in the March
1,1979 light and power bills.
WINTERS REQUEST FOR ACCESS TOPROPERTY LOCATED NEAR FISH HATCHERY ROAD:
A letter dated October 18th was received from Francis G.Winters re
questing a 20’easement as access to his property along the east
boundary of town property located just west of Harmony Ranch on the
Fish Hatchery Road.The Committee recommends (1)that the town have
the proposed easement surveyed,(2)an agreement be entered into which
is in accordance with the Town Attorney’s recommendations and which
includes the provision that the access be maintained by Winters,and
(3)that Mr.Winters be responsible for all surveying and legal fees
involved.
DEPOSITS:
Finance Officer Duncan reported on the procedure and amount of deposits
presently collected from light and power customers.Due to the PUC
requirement,the Committee recommends deposits be collected from all
new customers whether they are home owners,renters or commercial users.
REPORTS:
1978 PROJECTS -Marys Lake Substation and the distribution lines
are,for the most part,completed.The Glen Haven line has been
delayed due to right-of-way acquisition problems,but should be
completed in 1979.
EMPLOYEE STATUS -A vacated lineman position will be filled by a
present employee who will begin as an apprentice lineman.
CABLEVISION -The numerous complaints still being received indicate
that cablevision service has not improved significantly.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
