ADDITIONAL MEMORY BOARD AND DISC FOR COMPUTER:
Mr.Ed Boykin of NCR discussed the need for an additional memory board
and new disc unit for the computer. He explained that the water and
light and power billing programs have exceeded original estimates re
garding hardware requirements and the addition of financial management,
general ledger, and payroll to the system by July 1st will require an
additional memory board.A new disc will be required in order to add
new programs such as light and power inventory and to allow data of
several different programs to be entered simultaneously. The Committee
recommendsobtaining the additional memory board at $1,800 and to ob
tain purchase and rental alternatives from NCR regarding the disc unit
which will be considered at the next meeting.
P.R.P.A.WATER REQUEST:
A request was received from Platte River Power Authority for the Town
of Estes Park to contribute 76 acre feet of water towards the con
struction of Rawhide. The waterline for Rawhide will not be completed
in time to supply the water needed for compaction, dust suppression,
and other construction purposes and so PRPA is requesting each muni
cipality to participate proportionately. The Committee recommends the
staff be authorized to rent the amount of water needed at the best
available price.
P.U.C.RULE 13:
Several amendments to P.U.C.Rule 13 regarding discontinuance of utility
service for nonpayment have been proposed.Generally the amendments
impose more requirements and restrictions upon utility companies in
discontinuing service to nonpaying customers. The CAMU has submitted
suggested changes to the proposed amendments and the Committee authorized
the staff to submit a letter on behalf of Estes Park this date supporting
the CAMU’s suggestions and requesting that Rule 13 only apply to resi
dential customers.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
