COST OF SERVICE STUDY AND PROPOSED RATES:
Rate Attorney McEwan presented an overview of the requirements set forth
by the Public Utilities Commission as a result of the Generic Proceedings
and the time frame for compliance.Consulting Engineer Kiburz presented
the cost of service study for the test year ending March 31,1980,and
proposed rates to reflect the results of the study.Exhibit K,Rate
Comparison Data,is made an attachment to these minutes.The Committee
recommends proceeding with rate requirements.
SERVICE BUILDING VENTILATION SYSTEM BID:
Light and Power Director Dekker submitted a bid in the amount of $17,500.00
for methane gas ventilation system for the Light &Power shop.The bid
proposal conforms to the amount estimated by the engineer.The Committee
recommends accepting the bid from Sikora Sheet Metal.
STANLEY HOTEL POWER ACCOUNT:
Attorney Zimmerman,trustee for the Stanley Hotel,has presented a plan
to Town Attorney Gregory White that provides for a weekly payment of the
electric account.The details of this payment plan are to be worked out
by the two attorneys.The basics of the plan are:
1.Meter will be read each Monday and the bill sent to
Zimmerman.
2.Zimmerman will pay the bill no later than the following
Monday.
3.If the bill is not paid as agreed,a 3—day telephone
notice will enact a shut—off.
4.Zimmerman will pay $200 per week on the electric bill
from May 9 to June 9.
In addition to the above,the delinquent electric account in the amount
of $2,391.85 will be processed in the bankruptcy proceedings.A payment
bond in the amount of $8,000 was posted to guarantee this bill.Town
Attorney White will file a claim against this bond.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
