CABLE TELEVISION AGREEMENT:
The Committee reviewed a proposed cable television agreement between
Mickelson Media Inc.and the Town of Estes Park.The Committee recom
mends that the minimum franchise fee as outlined in Section 37 be
changed to $1,000 and that the proposed agreement be forwarded to
Mickelson Media Inc.for its review.
ALLENSPARK AREA ADDRESSING:
The telephone company will be attempting to assign addresses to the
Allenspark area and has requested assistance from the Town.The
Committee recommends aerial photos be made available to the telephone
company for this project.
REPORTS:
Federal law requires power companies to purchase power produced from
windmills and other small power production using renewable energy
sources if made readily available.An agreement will be drafted soon
to allow the Town to purchase such power indirectly through Platte
River Power Authority.
The annual Platte River Power Authority meeting is scheduled for April
30,1981.
No decision has been reached yet by the Public Utilities Commission on
the January 21st and 22nd rate hearing.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
