Trustee Houston,Acting Chairperson,opened the Light &Power Committee
meeting with a discussion of the Committee/Town Board system as an
orientation for the thirty visiting senior students.
FORMS BURSTER PURCHASE:
The Committee reviewed the need for a forms burster and felt that it
would be cost effective to purchase one at this time.The Committee
recommends proceeding with the purchase of a forms burster at an
approximate cost of $6,200.
REPORTS:
A decision should be reached by the Public Utilities Commission in a
few weeks regarding the rate increase hearing which was held January
21st and 22nd.It is anticipated that there might be changes proposed
by the PUC with regard to lieu of transfers and funding of capital
projects.
Modifications of the 115 KV Switch have been completed which will per
mit identification of problems and return of power by remote control.
The Town has filed,under the bankruptcy procedure,a claim against
Griffin Limited in the amount of $726.36 for unpaid light and power
bills.
Staff members of the Platte River Power Authority made an audio-visual
presentation of the progress of the construction of the Rawhide Project.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
