BUCKET TRUCK -VEHICLE BIDS:
The following bids were received for an “Aerial Lift Truck”:

Elder/Quinn/McGill is low bidder on the Aerial Lift Truck and Light
&Power Director Dekker requested that in addition to this cost,
a cab guard amounting to approximately $500.00 be added,as well
as,minor additions to the chassis amounting to approximately
$500.00.Director Dekker asked the Committee to consider an
auxiliary diesel engine,“Nomics”,which would power the hydraulic
system.This would save the main truck engine as well as reduce
fuel costs.Cost for the “Nomics”unit would not exceed $5,780.00.
The Committee recommends that the Light &Power Department accept
the Elder/Quinn/McGill bid with the “Nomics”unit (if economically
feasible)and the additional $1,000.00 items as listed above.
THREE-QUARTER TON SERVICE TRUCK:
The Committee recommends proceeding with obtaining bids for a new
service truck.
MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT:
A Mutual Aid Intergovernmental Agreement dated April 7,1982,was
presented to the Committee by Director Dekker.The agreement
provides “Mutual Aid”between city electric utility systems in
cases of emergencies caused by the destruction or damage of electric
lines,equipment,or facilities -but not at the expense of the
local system.The Committee recommends approval of this Agreement
provided the Town Attorney approves it.
STREET LIGHT REQUESTS:
Letters were received from Alan &Cindy Wilson dated May 4,1982;
and Mark Whittlesey (Lazy R Cottages)dated May 19,1982,requesting
street lights in their areas.A telephone call was received from
Mr.Retrum also requesting a street light.The Committee recommended
that a systematic program be set up,on a priority basis,whereby
these needs could be met —and that this also be considered in
the 1923 budget process.

UNINCORPORATED COMMUNITY STREET LIGHTING:
The Committee recommends charging unincorporated communities for
street lighting.The Committee requested that Bob Dekker follow-
up on this by contacting both Glen Haven and Allenspark Groups.
REPORTS:
The P.U.C approved the recent rate increase and it will be effective
when the meters are read in July.
Seventy—four new accounts have been added from January through
June 30,1982.
The Hydro plant is going well.The Light &Power Department saved
$13,411 in purchase power through the end of June -costs totalled
approximately $8,500 -an approximate savings of $5,000 for the
first month and a half of operation.
Platte River Power Authority reports that the Raw Hide Power Plant
is on schedule.
CABLEVISION REPORT:
A letter was received from Wayne Unze dated June 23,1982,addressing
the deficiencies in the agreement.The Committee recommends that
Mr.Unze be notified that he will need to furnish an audited
financial report at the end of 1982 and that the Committee will
accept the unaudited 1921 financial report as submitted.The
Committee requested that Town Administrator Hill and Light &Power
Director Dekker meet with Mr.Unze to correct any other deficiencies.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
