Home My WebLink AboutEPURA RESOLUTION 36700RESOLUTIONNO.367ARESOLUTIONOfTHEESTESPARKURBANRENEWALAUTHORITYAUTHORIZINGTHECHAIRMANTOENTERINTOANAGREEMENTWITHDESIGNSTUDIOSWESTTOPERFORMDETAILEDPLANNINGOFTHESOUTHPARKINGLOTTOSERVETHENEWVISITORSCENTERWHEREAS,constructionofthenewVisitorsCenterandadjacentnorthsideparkingisunderwayandscheduledtobeoperationalintimeforthe2006summerseason;andWHEREAS,constructionofparkingtoservethenewVisitorsCenteronthesouthsideoftheriver(thesouthparking),tocoincidewiththeopeningofthenewVisitorsCenter,ishighlydesirableandnecessarytoservingthenewVisitorsCenterandgettingpeopleoutoftheircarsandontoothermodesoftransportation,includingthepilotprojectforpublictransitinconjunctionwithRockyMountainNationalPark;andWHEREAS,theEstesParkUrbanRenewalAuthority(EPURA)hasfavorablyconsideredthisprojectinallocatingitsresourceswithinitsthree-yearworkprogram;andWHEREAS,aproposalhasbeenrequestedandreceivedfromDesignStudiosWest(DSW)topreparethedetaileddesignandconstructiondocumentsforthesouthparkingatacostnottoexceed$15,040,plusreimbursableexpenses.ThisworkwillbeaccomplishedinconcertwithengineeringandsurveyinginputfromVanHornEngineeringandSurveyingatacostcurrentlyestimatedtobebetween$9,000andS10,000,anadditionalcost.Thedesignwillbedevelopedinconsiderationthatasecondlevelofparkingmightbeprovidedatsomefuturetime.NOW,THEREFORE,BEITRESOLVEDBYTHEESTESPARKURBANRENEWALAUTHORITYTHAT:TheEPURAChairmanisherebyauthorizedtoenterintoagreementwithDSWtoperformtheworkdescribedaboveatacostnottoexceed$15,040,plusreimbursableexpenses.ADOPTED,this20thdayofJuly,2005.ESTESPARIREEWAUTHOClainnanATTEST:1______/Secre7ry
