Home My WebLink AboutEPURA RESOLUTION 330aoRESOLUTIONNO.330ARESOLUTIONOFTHEESTESPARKURBANRENEWALAUTHORITYAPPROVINGACONTRACTFORINVESTIGATION,ANALYSISANDCONCEPTUALDESIGNSERVICESFORAPERFORMINGARTSCENTERWHEREAS,theEstesParkUrbanRenewalAuthority(EPURA)hasreceivedadesignservicesproposalfromThorpAssociates,P.C.,ArchitectsandPlanners,toperformandlorcoordinateadesignteaminvestigation,analysisandthepreparationofconceptualplans,relativetoaperformingartscenterwithinthecentralbusinessdistrictofEstesPark;andWHEREAS,thedesignteamincludesthetheaterdesignandoperationsspecialistsofSempleBrownDesign,P.C.ofDenverandGreigSteinerStudioofEstesPark,acomplementaryandbalancedgroupcapableofthoroughlyexploringallaspectsofthecontemplatedproject;andWHEREAS,theproposedserviceswilladdressthebestmeansofachievingthegoalsoftheTown,EPURAandtheartscommunity;andWHEREAS,intheopinionofEPURAstaff,theproposedfeeforsuchservicesisfairandreasonableandconsistentwithindustrystandards;andWHEREAS,theEPURAbudgetwillnotbestrainedbecausethefundingfortheseserviceswillcomefromthemoniescontributedtotheTownbytheFriendsofStanleyHallandsetasidefortherealizationofaperformingartscenter.NOW,THEREFORE,BEITRESOLVEDBYTHEESTESPARKURBANRENEWALAUTHORITYTHAT:TheChairmanisherebyauthorizedtoexecuteacontractwithThorpAssociates,P.C.,coordinatingthedesignteam,toperformtheseservicesforaproposedfeenottoexceed$54,500.00,plusreimbursableexpenses.ADOPTED,this30thdayofApril,2003.ESTESPARKURBANRENEWALAUTHORITY/ChairmanATTEST:4’Secretary
